black screen bricked wii need help

Hi,
I have a bricked wii from a friend who does not know why there is a black screen. This wii has previously been modded. The blue light flickers one time only, this indicates there is no boot1 or boot2. I did my research and here is what I have done so far.


1. Hold the reset button and power button still black screen.
2. inserted the B.L.I.N.D cd still black screen.
3. opened up an original gc controller and pressed all 4 dpads plugged into port 4 to do NAND programming. Powered up wii but no firmware version on the bottom right corner. Can I use and original gc controller?

Are there any other options to try to get my wii to boot. Is this an hardware issue please help..
