Bricked Wii + No Signal

Dear All,

I have an oldie white Wii that was bricked quite a long time ago. However, I am wondering whether there might be any chance in recovering it.

So, my Wii turns on (red power on light turn to yellow/green), when one inserts DVD disc blue "flash" appears. However, that's it. It does not "connect" to the TV as it shows "NO SIGNAL", although all the cords are applied. I tried NAND reset thingies with SD card, however, nothing works.

Thing is that I do not remember what went wrong but I obviously do not have a backup of anything from Wii system, unfortunately.

Any ideas what could I do? :)

Semibricked Pal 4,3E Wii, Wii settings error.

Got this wii from a friend, previously softmodded and worked well.
His kids updated via skylanders swapforce disk and then got this problem.
Cant access wii settings I get this error , The System Files are corrupted.

Tried to reinstall softmod 4,3E like I´ve done hundreds of times using the softmod all wii guide.
Everything inställs well and softmod works but cant access wii settings.

Tried unsoftodding still same.
Downloaded system menu 4,3E and installed it still same.
Downgraded to 4,1 and 4,2 still same.


When running dopmii and scanning the system I get this message.
You have AHBPROT avaliable for use.
To Continue using AHBPROT press A
To proceed with your selected option instead press B.

If I press A i get back one step in the menu.
If I Press B I get an error.

How do I solve this?
Everything seems to work but I cant access wii settings.

In System Menu hacks Everything is default (disabled)

I have a wii you install the ios device and keep it off when a black screen I do not have a backup for nand please, they gave me a solution and whether I can download nand 4.3e

Hi everyone. About two years ago i bricked an old wii i had and put it away into storage. I dont remember what happened/ how i bricked it , it was a long time ago.

Anyways, i recently learned and recovered a different wii via infectus, so i wanted to fix this one. To my surprise, i hook it up, load up savemiifrii to check the version, couldnt find my brawl disc, so i reseted the wii , and it goes into system menu correctly. v3.2(U), virgen by the look of things. I know, wtf.

The problem i have is that the wiimote doesnt respond, sensitivity wise. It does sync and respond to + and - and i can scroll pages on the wii menu but thats it.

I read on gbatemp that it could be that settings.txt is corrupted or something, but gbatemp has been down for days, so i cant find that specific post, the link for the working settings.txt was down too.

Any help guys, how can i extract a settings.txt file from another wii and would that work? i remember something about putting it on the root of the sdcard, and the wii would load it up, but im not sure. Or if someone has another fix, lemme know please? thank you.

BTW, i couldnt find my brawl disc, so loading an exploit via disc is out of the question in my situation.

I made this same thread in the hack section, before putting it here, wasnt sure it there/here was the right place.

The other day I started to install wads on my wii. I believe that i installed too many because when i start up my wii it gives me this error saying "Your Wii System Memory is full. Use the Data Management screen to manage your save data". But then when i try to delete channels to clear up space, my wii freezes in this screen. (See pics below). please help guys, im new to wii modding. sorry for the nubby question. Thanks in advance.

Black screen when starting Wii, wii has priiloader install.

After I installed dios mios I started up a gamecube game I immediately got a black screen and from then on every time I start my wii I get a black screen. I can boot into priiloader and do everything else just fine. I tried to uninstall dios mios by reinstalling the normal nintendo wad file but nothing. I'm not sure what to do.

Last night I think I may have bricked my Wii 4.3u last night; I tried setting the Autoboot to USB Loader gx in Priiloader but once I did that when I turned it on it wouldn't boot to the TV (There's no signal). However I can still access everything through Priiloader(HBC, System Memu, etc) so I'm guessing it's not fully bricked.

However, I don't have a NAND backup nor Bootmii on my SD card or computer. Theres the problem, if I had that I could probably just restore it and everything would be okay. But is there anything I can do or will I always have to turn my Wii on through Priiloader? :'(

Any and all help would be appreciated.

(Shoutouts to you guys for the Softmod guide though)

I think my wii is done controllers wont sync

I have had no problems with my wii ever and now all 4 of my wiimotes became unsynced and i have my autoboot set to wiiflow (cant sync remotes there) i tried my wavebird gamecube controller in priiloader but seems that wont work either (sometimes that happens with dios mios installed, atleast to me) Is there anything i can do for this because i have no idea...I cant get to system menu.

Nevermind I somehow got it to the health screen and got them to sync from there....phew that was my first real scare in 5 years lol

wii boots automatically to priiloader v7 menu when turn on. There is a message "Error booting bootmii ios". Tried changing the settings, Autoboot=System Menu but I get a message "Error autobooting system menu Could not open boot file"

my wii bricked suddenly today. power button takes a few times before turning yellow.
after it powers on, i see a flicker of flash and then black screen.

i turned the power off and then restarted it again and it got to the multi mod manager screen but then i couldnt get my wii mote to work. i am at a loss. appreciate any kind of advice and help to fix it.

read on several forums that it could possibly due to a faulty bluetooth module or even wifi module. but i am have a feeling it could just be a corrupt file or bootmi.

if it's gonna help the last thing i did the night before was played some videos on mplayer ce and then i shutdown from homebrew straight. my wii mote batt was kinda dying though.

2 months ago I had a person soft mod my wii (red wii) and install homebrew boomii and prii (I think that their names) through letterbomb. I jus discovered now I can not access he wii settings. the screen just goes black an I need to kill power to the wii to get it working again. it appears it is a semi brick? it seems due to the fact the person who modded my wii loaded custom themes. I don't think I have a NAND backup or I don't know where to find it. can anyone help me fix my issue? I may need to redo the whole modding? how do I redo it and erase all previous modding off my wii? how can I find my mac number if I cant access the wii settings?

Bricked Wii, cant fix?!

hello Guys,

After trying some stuff, this is my last resort.

My Wii is bricked.

When turned on the normal screen shows where you have to press the A button. After pressing or just letting this screen do its time. a black screen shows up with white letetrs saying:
The Wii data is damaged. Please refer to manual for further information. (In Dutch language).

What I tried ist he following.

See if there is priiloader, but since it does not do anythign but startup to the startscreen where you press A, I'm assuming it does not have preloader.

I press on and then imemdiately press Reset for approx 6 seconds or longer, does not work>

This wii used to be softmodded with the HBC, but this was years ago, I do not know the exact programs used. But seems to me i cant get into priiloader.

I have tried the following:

Switch on wii, hold 4 diagonal on gaemcubepad. It showed my 4.1 version on the right lowr corner.
I put in a original Zelda game, i did not see any updateprogess. But later I turned wii of and on and it showed 4.3 in right corner with previous method. So it seems to be updated.

Still the same message about damaged files though.

Then I tried this:

But this does not start up when I boot my wii with sdcard inserted.
I even set the settings with and without serial code.
This is weird cause they say you dont need bootmi/priloader.

Is there any way of ix my wii or should I throw it away since it only costs like 30 euro 2nd hand.

EDIT: I have no backups or whatsoever.

Homebrew browser bricked my wii. How can I fix this?

I was using a successfully modded wii. Followed the guide to the letter. Worked perfectly until I tried to use the homebrew browser. It errored out with a number 6 error I think. Had to do a hard shutdown. Now my machine bricks up when I try to exit my backed up game (Sherlock Holmes) I hit home button and then wii menu and it bricks up on me instead of going back to system menu. Have to do a hard shutdown everytime now. It also sometimes messes up when I try to load a saved game, it just starts a new game instead. I deleted the broswer from hbc but it didnt help so I put it back on. Haven't tried to launch it since. I'm using a 4.3u and usbloader gx. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Black Exotic WII , bought faulty .........black screen

hi members , i bought a lot the other day of 3 faulty WII's and ive been working on them most of the day.................



there is a Black WII in the bunch and simply i turn it on and a black screen is all i get


i have had this before in another faulty WII i bought and the Bluetooth Module was loose


so i have reseated the Module and no luck , ive also reseated the WIFI Module and still no luck


so i grabbed from another working WII the Bluetooth and WIFI Modules and put them in the Black WII , still no fun




im thinking someone has tried to softmod this WII and its has bricked



anyone know where i can go from here ?

4 Old Bricked Wii

OK I received 4 bricked wii from the store I have been working at. 2 of which at this point I can not do anything with Black Screen but two of them do have Boot2 when SD card is inserted. So I have have tried NAND formatter, it worked on one but the other I used the NAND Formatter work til I installed the update from New Super Mario Wii just went black from there and could format again, the formatter froze at "ALL DONE". So I tried Cboot2 + Wad Manager 1.5 MOD that I had to find else where since the link is dead and B.L.I.N.D. both couldn't get past the loading DOL (Frozen). So what should I try or do from here? Any thing I could try for the other 2 Wiis, NO BOOT2 with those two. Any help would be great!

Hey guys. Remember me?

I have a Boot2 Wii that I recovered from a brick by flashing the BootMii boot2 sectors into the NAND. I thought that was going to be the end of it but unfortunately it wasn't. I'm now finding that the problem with the Wii is much deeper. It would appear that the problem is with a VC game (Contra Rebirth). From what I gather from the owner, he aborted the install before it was completed. Now if I look at it wrong it will brick again. If I do an official update, it bricks. If I try to uninstall or delete Contra, it bricks. If I try to format, it hangs up so I'm forced to power it down and upon reboot..... it's bricked. I've tried reinstalling Contra to no avail. You might say, why not use Comex NAND formatter or ohneswanzenegger to build a new NAND and start fresh... I would but the owner has his heart set on getting his system back to the way it was before the brick. He has a butt load of VC games and games saves on it that he want's to save.

Now, I've done some extensive troubleshooting on this thing. The last thing I tried was to extract the NAND using ShowMiiWads but it errored out on me saying that it couldn't open a file at xxxx\xxxx path and gave a file name. I pretty sure that file is the root of my problem but for the life of me, I can't find a way to delete it. I tried using fstoobox to overwrite the file but for whatever reason, that apps first tries to mount the file but it can't. Probably due to the same reason ShowMiiWads can't.

So to wrap it up, I know where the problem is, down to the exact corrupt file but I don't know how to get rid of it. Does anyone know of a homebrew app that will allow me to delete a given file. Not just a wad, I mean a given file at a given path.

A bad way for your Wii to Die Hard: My Friend's Wii Is Bricked

Hey guys, I recently acquired my friend's Wii and it came bricked. He said he installed a forwarder .WAD that don't work, and I am having trouble fixing his console from this.

Normal start-up, his Wii managed to go through the Health and Safety Screen, and after pressing A, his Wii Remote syncs, but then - nothing appears. Maintenance Mode is futile, nothing appears either.

Held the RESET button upon start-up, nothing. He seemed to not have PriiLoader installed, and he didn't seem to have bootmii installed at boot2 which meant I couldn't restore any NAND backup that he or I had.

SaveMiiFrii, his System Menu seemed to be 4.3(USA). At this point I knew I was making progress, and inserted a burned Universal Unbrick Disc v4. The Wii did not seem to be reading the disc, nor did the screen do anything other than sit at the 4.3(USA) screen. Inserted Just Dance 2014, which did ask me for a Wii System Update once, which probably meant it could restore the System Menu. Screen fades to black. Nothing.

Now I'm basically trapped, I can't seem to do anything to fix his Wii. What should I do now...?

My wii has been boxed up for a few years now because i gave up trying to fix it.

The only thing i can load into is priiloader v0.7 (r138)
Trying to load into system menu just ends up with a black screen
Trying to load HBC i get the error: Error automating HBC, maybe title not installed?
and lastly
Trying to load boots IOS i get the error: Could not find fat:/bootmii/armboot.bin

Too be honest the last time i was on the forums was in 2011, i just wanna get this thing virginized so i can try and sell it.
Any help would be much appreciated
